A course seemingly designed by the sweet-natured DrJekyll and the monstrous Mr Hyde.

Coombe Hill Golf Club, which opened on May 30th 1911, was designed by JF Abercromby, one of the foremost golf architects of his day. Virtually a scratch player, Abercromby seemed to know instinctively what made a good golf course and he used the natural contours of Coombe Hill to create 18 challenging but attractive holes. Depending on how you are playing the course, Abercromby is either a gifted genius or a heartless sadist.
